Tapping on the Apple Menu Bar icons (e.g. volume, Bluetooth, AirPort, and Time Machine), gives you limited information about each function. Tapping on those same icons while holding the Option key gives you much more information. For example, you can learn the radio, security, and channel settings for your Wi-Fi network by ⌥ + Clicking the AirPort menubar icon. The Option key unlocks many more secrets than this in you Menu Bar.
